Quick Take: Jaguars (2-1) at Chiefs (2-2)

Last meeting
Chiefs running back Larry Johnson rushed for three touchdowns in the 2006 season finale as Kansas City clinched a playoff berth with a 35-30 victory over Jacksonville.

Streaks
The Jaguars lead the all-time series, 4-2, and have won two of the last three games.

Last week
The Jaguars had a bye. ... The Chiefs rallied from a 10-point deficit to score 24 unanswered points and defeat the Chargers, 30-16. It was the second consecutive win for the Chiefs, who moved into a three-way tie for first place in the AFC West.

At stake
The Jaguars play in arguably the NFL's toughest division and would like to keep pace. ... The Chiefs rebounded from a dismal 0-2 start to be right in the middle of the AFC West race. Now they have to build on their winning streak and hope San Diego, considered the division's preseason favorite, doesn't awake.

Key matchup
Jaguars cornerback Rashean Mathis vs. Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe. Mathis looks for his third interception in five games. The Jaguars are 11-6 when he has an interception. The rookie Bowe has become a big-play threat for the Chiefs, who have seemingly lacked a big-time receiver since Otis Taylor (or maybe even Carlos Carson). Bowe set a Chiefs single-game receiving record with 164 yards against the Chargers last week. He also caught a touchdown pass for the third consecutive game.

Did you know?
Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio is 5-3 against the AFC West. ... Chiefs quarterback Damon Huard is 7-0 as a home starter.
