Tight ends: Both the Chargers and the Chiefs use gameplans that rely on their tight ends. The Chargers' Antonio Gates ranks second among tight ends with six TDs. The one player ahead of him, Kansas City's Tony Gonzalez, has seven TDs and also leads TEs in receptions and receiving yards.
The century mark: LaDainian Tomlinson, the NFL's reigning rushing leader, was held to 78 yards in Week 10 vs. the Chiefs, but in the last four games against them he's averaged 146.5 yards per game and for his career has averaged more than 100 yards on the ground during the month of December. He needs two rushing TDs to surpass Marcus Allen for second-most in NFL history.
