Streaks

Last week
The Buccaneers rallied past the visiting Vikings, 19-13, to improve to 7-3. ... The Lions took an early lead, but were unable to hold it in a 31-22 loss to the Panthers.

Keep your eye on ...
Dunn still going strong: At an age when many running backs are retired already (33), the Bucs' Warrick Dunn continues to produce. The 12-year veteran has 476 rushing yards so far this year and will be counted on even more with the recent news that Earnest Graham could miss several weeks.

Mentor vs. student: Detroit coach Rod Marinelli was an assistant under Bucs defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin in Tampa Bay before taking the Lions job. He has struggled to build Kiffin's cover-two defense in the Motor City, but would likely love nothing better than to get his first win of the season against his former team.

Hanson's long-range accuracy: The Lions have not given their fans much to cheer about this season, but one bright spot has been kicker Jason Hanson. He has made all six of his field goal attempts from outside of 50 yards this season and may need to continue that streak as the Lions go up against a defense that has allowed the fewest touchdowns in the NFC.

Did you know?
Bucs DE Kevin Carter has the second-most sacks (103.5) of any active player in the NFL. ... Jeff Garcia spent the 2005 season with the Lions. ... Detroit's Kevin Smith is one of three rookie RBs to lead his team in both rushing yards and rushing touchdowns.
