Quick Take: Broncos (6-8) at Chargers (9-5)

Last meeting
The Chargers pounded the Broncos 41-3 in Week 5, sparking a hot streak for San Diego, winners of eight of their last 10 games.

Streaks
The Chargers have won four of the past six games, but the Broncos lead the all-time series 52-42-1.

Last week
Sage Rosenfels threw a touchdown pass and Ron Dayne ran for another as the Texansdefeated the Broncos 31-13. LaDainian Tomlinson and Darren Sproles combined for 238 rushing yards and four touchdowns as the Chargers clinched the AFC West with a convincing 51-14 win over the Lions.

At stake
The Broncos have been eliminated from the playoffs. The Chargers are currently the No. 3 seed in the AFC and need a win to stay ahead of the Steelers and Browns. The Chargers would probably prefer to stay in the No. 3 spot, in the bracket with the Colts, who they beat in Week 10.

Key matchup
Chargers rushing attack vs. Broncos rush defense. Tomlinson is just 6 yards behind the Steelers' Willie Parker for the NFL rushing lead. But don't expect to see much of Tomlinson if the Chargers get a big lead against the Broncos, who rank 29th against the run. Michael Turner rushed for 147 yards against the Broncos in the last game. If Turner can't play because of his injury, look for Sproles to get a chance to build on his career best from last week.

Did you know?
The Broncos have won three of its last four games on Monday night. ... Quarterback Philip Rivers is 3-0 as a starter against the Broncos.
