49ers RB Coffee: The 49ers coaching staff has stated the team will run the ball a lot in 2009. While Frank Gore is the unquestioned No. 1 running back in San Francisco, but rookie Glen Coffee has been impressive when given the chance. The 49ers are also looking to close the preseason undefeated under first-year coach Mike Singletary.

The Chargers' newest player: The Chargers swung a deal this week to bring in former first-round draft pick Travis Johnson from the Houston Texans. The defensive tackle practiced with the team on Tuesday and is expected to get acclimated to his new surroundings by suiting up on Friday night.
