Protect your own: Tulloch, Harris among seven Titans tenders

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans have tendered contracts to seven players as restricted free agents before the NFL's collective bargaining agreement expires Thursday night.

The Titans confirmed Wednesday they have tendered contracts to starting linebacker Stephen Tulloch, defensive end Jacob Ford, fullback Ahmard Hall, starting left guard Leroy Harris, offensive tackle Mike Otto and linebackers Tim Shaw and Patrick Bailey.

Tulloch has been in the NFL five years and would be unrestricted if the rules used under the current labor deal apply. That also would include Harris, Ford and Hall.

The Titans tendered the contracts as protection since the current rules would allow the team to match any offer by another team or receive a draft pick as compensation.
