Preston Smith named Pepsi Rookie of the Week

Washington Redskins linebacker Preston Smith was named the Pepsi Rookie of the Week for Week 16 after recording three sacks and a fumble recovery in a 38-24 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Smith received 33 percent of the total votes to finish ahead of Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson (24), Baltimore Ravens running back Javorius Allen (17), Chicago Bears strong safety Harold Jones-Quartey (15) and Buffalo Bills linebacker A.J. Tarpley.

Preston Smith, Washington Redskins

Smith recorded three sacks and forced a fumble in the Redskins' 38-24 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Harold Jones-Quartey, Chicago Bears

Jones-Quartey had an interception, forced a fumble and recorded four tackles and two passes defensed in the Bears' 26-21 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

David Johnson, Arizona Cardinals

Johnson combined for 127 scrimmage yards (88 receiving, 39 rushing) and ran for a touchdown in the Cardinals' 38-8 win over the Green Bay Packers.

Javorius Allen, Baltimore Ravens

Allen combined for 114 scrimmage yards (79 rushing, 35 receiving) and ran for a touchdown in the Ravens' 20-17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

A.J. Tarpley, Buffalo Bills

Tarpley forced a fumble and recorded an interception and two tackles in the Bills' 16-6 win over the Dallas Cowboys.
