Police discover abandoned truck belonging to Dolphins' Hartline

MIAMI -- A truck belonging to Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brian Hartline was found abandoned after a crash in South Florida, but authorities don't know who was driving the car at the time.

A Florida Highway Patrol report says the pickup truck registered to Hartline collided with a broken down car on a major highway in Broward County during the early morning hours on July 3. No one reported the accident.

A phone message was left late Tuesday by the Associated Press at a number listed for Hartline and his wife. Dolphins spokesman, Harvey Greene, says they were still gathering information and had no immediate comment.

FHP spokesman Mark Wysocky says they have not been in contact with Hartline, but his attorney said Hartline was not injured.
