Peyton Manning, Rodgers lead Players of the Week

Peyton Manning broke Brett Favre's career touchdown record and added to his own mark in a four-touchdown barrage Sunday night as the Denver Broncos trounced the San Francisco 49ers. 42-17.

To go along with his record, Manning picked up the AFC Offensive Player of the Week award for Week 7.

Who else did you expect?

To his touchdown pile Manning added a completion percentage of 84.6 (22 of 26), 318 yards through the air and no interceptions for a 157.2 passer rating.

Fellow MVP candidate Aaron Rodgers took home the offensive award on the NFC side.

Rodgers has dominated the past few weeks, playing as well as or better than anyone in football. The Green Bay Packers quarterback completed 19 of 22 passes (86.5 percent) for 255 yards with three touchdown passes and no picks for a passer rating of 154.5 in a 38-17 win over the floundering Carolina Panthers.

Heading toward the midway point of the season, any way-too-early MVP list must start with Manning and Rodgers, so it's only fitting they win the same award this week.

Here are the other Week 7 award winners:

AFC

Jacksonville Jaguars LB Telvin Smith: Compiled four tackles, a game-sealing interception and a sack fumble in the Jags' first win of the season. (The rookie will have to keep producing after defensive leader Paul Poslusznywent down with a torn pectoral muscle.)

New England Patriots DT Chris Jones: Blocked a potential game-winning, 58-yard field goal attempt on the final play of the fourth quarter in the Patriots' 27-25 win against the New York Jets.

NFC

Washington Redskins LB Keenan Robinson: Gobbled up a whopping 14 tackles (career-high) in the win over the Titans.

St. Louis Rams PR Stedman Bailey: His 90-yard punt-return touchdown was a bit of trickeration magic and helped key an upset over the Seattle Seahawks.
