Pats LB Spikes reportedly has minor procedure on knee

Patriots linebacker Brandon Spikes had successful surgery on his right knee Tuesday, according to the Boston Herald, which cited a source.

The procedure was reportedly meant to clean out some cartilage.

Spikes hurt the knee earlier in the season, but came back to play in Super Bowl XLVI. The latest surgery isn't expected to cost him any games next season.
