Patriots activate LeGarrette Blount for Week 2, cut LB Martin

Looks like the New England Patriots are making room on their roster for running back LeGarrette Blount.

Blount joined New England's 53-man roster after the team released linebacker Eric Martin on Saturday.

Blount suffered a knee injury last month that kept him out of practice for a few weeks. He should be well rested after coming off a one game suspension for violating the NFL Policy and Program on Substance of Abuse.

If he's ready to go, Blount will make his season debut when the Patriots play the Buffalo Bills in Week 2.
