Panthers' Williams still unable to practice because of foot injury

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams remains sidelined with a sprained left foot.

Williams sat out practice on Wednesday and has yet to return to the field since getting hurt in the final minute of Carolina's win over San Francisco on Oct. 24. Williams missed Sunday's loss to St. Louis.

Jonathan Stewart started in Williams' place against the Rams and was held to 30 yards on 14 carries. The Panthers had 25 yards rushing to drop to 28th in the league.

Right tackle Jeff Otah is still out with a sore knee. Linebacker Dan Connor was limited in practice with a hip contusion.
