Carolina Panthers tight end Jeremy Shockey usually has no qualms about letting his feelings be known when he's furious.
Exhibit A: After his 22-yard touchdown catch was negated by an offensive pass interference during Sunday's loss to the Chicago Bears, Shockey ripped the referees to shreds for their call. And by the looks of it, we're thinking a fine from the league office might have already been sent his way.

"Maybe the official saw something (different from) what I did," Shockey told the Charlotte Observer. "I'd like the league to go back and look at that and give an explanation, because it was a big play in the game. The momentum is on our side, and it comes back. That definitely hurts our team momentum-wise.
"I've been playing this game a long time and ... I don't know. I'd like to hear the explanation from the league and really understand why they would call something like that. (The official who called it) never gave me any explanation at all."
We'll give Shockey this: The call certainly seemed questionable -- maybe even a bit ticky-tacky. And we understand the frustration because it came at a crucial moment when the Panthers were clawing their way back into the game. That wasn't all that bothered Shockey, though.
The lack of an explanation is what seems to have really set him off.
"We pay their salary and can't get an explanation," Shockey said. "I'd like to see the explanation when they do get graded.
"They should be held accountable, as well. They get paid a lot of money. They go around and hang out and do whatever they do before the game. Fly for free and do all kinds of (expletive) for free. Very disappointing, disheartening. I don't know what else to say."
Trust us, Jeremy. You've said enough already.
