Packers re-sign unrestricted free-agent DE Montgomery

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Green Bay Packers have re-signed defensive end Michael Montgomery, an unrestricted free agent who played mostly as a backup in his first four seasons with the team.

A sixth-round draft choice by the Packers in 2005, Montgomery made eight starts last season and had a career-high 71 tackles and 2.5 sacks.
