Oakland Raiders sign former Giants receiver Duke Calhoun

The Oakland Raiders have signed wide receiver Duke Calhoun, the team said Friday.

The 24-year-old Calhoun played for the New York Giants during the 2010 season, appearing in nine games and recording one reception. He was waived-injured by the Giants during the 2011 preseason.

Calhoun took part in the Raiders' voluntary veteran minicamp earlier this week.

The second-year receiver out of Memphis recorded 212 receptions for 2,981 yards and 19 touchdowns while in college.
