Niners deny Giants' Manning as streak hits seven

SAN FRANCISCO -- Justin Smith batted down Eli Manning's pass in the waning seconds, stopping the New York Giants and giving the San Francisco 49ers a 27-20 victory Sunday in a matchup of NFC division leaders.

"NFL Replay" will re-air the 49ers' 27-20 win over the Giants on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 9:30 p.m. ET.

With the Giants (6-3) trailing, Manning completed two long fourth-down passes and marched his team to the red zone with 1:53 to go. Unlike New York's rally last week at New England, Smith made a leaping right-handed smack of the ball on fourth-and-2 from the 10.

The 49ers (8-1) won their seventh in a row and didn't rely on Frank Gore, whose franchise-record streak of five consecutive games with 100 rushing yards ended with a knee injury.
