NFLPA investigates head injury to Oakland Raiders' Terrelle Pryor

The NFL Players Association is investigating if the league's concussion protocol was properly followed by the Oakland Raiders after quarterback Terrelle Pryor apparently suffered a head injury during "Monday Night Football."

"Fox Sports Live" first reported that the union was trying to find out why Pryor was not examined for a concussion immediately after sustaining a hit to the head from Denver Broncos linebacker Wesley Woodyard. Pryor did not leave the field until two plays later.

Allen told the San Jose Mercury News on Wednesday that he is sure the Raiders followed protocol and that the team didn't know Pryor was injured until after the series had ended.

Though NFLPA is awaiting the game report from the Raiders, Pryor told ESPN.com that he thought the Raiders handled the situation properly.
