'NFL Total Access' recap: Aaron Hernandez's troubled history

Did you miss Wednesday's edition of "NFL Total Access" on NFL Network? Catch up with this recap:

Hernandez's troubled past

NFL Network's Albert Breer said NFL teams knew about some of Aaron Hernandez's past transgressions at the University of Florida while preparing for the 2010 NFL Draft. Teams told Breer that Hernandez always was around trouble and thought the rules did not apply to him.

NFL's best defensive duo?

Shaun O'Hara and Brian Baldinger agree that the San Francisco 49ers are home to the best defensive duo in the NFL, but they disagreed on which players comprise the pair. O'Hara went with Justin Smith and Aldon Smith while Baldinger took Patrick Willis and NaVorro Bowman.

National holiday

Baldinger said the game next season that should be a national holiday is the Denver Broncos against the New England Patriots. O'Hara went with the Thursday season opener between the Baltimore Ravens and Broncos.

Firework or dud?

Baldinger and O'Hara discussed how Michael Vick, Maurice Jones-Drew, Mike Wallace and Jason Pierre-Paul will fare in 2013.

32 in 32: Raiders

Neither Baldinger nor O'Hara believe Matt Flynn is the Oakland Raiders' answer at quarterback simply due to all the weaknesses around him. O'Hara said running back Darren McFadden is made of fiberglass. Baldinger said McFadden cannot stay healthy because he does not have a good base and takes a lot of hits because he cannot make people miss. O'Hara believes McFadden could have a big year as he wants to prove everyone wrong and it is his contract season.
