NFL kicks off Salute to Service campaign during Sunday's games

The NFL's Salute to Service campaign was in full swing Sunday, one day before Veteran's Day:

An Illinois guardsman, Sgt. 1st Class Blake Schroedter who is pursuing a doctorate, was honored as this year's Pat Tillman military scholar award during Sunday's Chicago Bears game, the Chicago Tribune reported.

KSWB-TV in San Diego reported on the San Diego Chargers' elaborate "thank you" to veterans.

The Green Bay Packers presented a grand salute as well, USA Today reported.

And Steelers.com reported on how the Pittsburgh Steelers respect and admire military veterans.
