NFL.com report: Line-overload rule has been missed by referees

NFL.com reported that the line-overload rule, a penalty passed to protect offensive linemen, has been violated at least once prior to Sunday's call against the New England Patriots in their overtime loss to the New York Jets. The missed call occurred during the Miami Dolphins-Baltimore Ravens game, according to sources.

ESPN.com reported that the Patriots might have violated the rule one week earlier against the New Orleans Saints.
