New York Jets move Quinton Coples around D-line in minicamp

Expect to see New York Jets' first-round draft pick Quinton Coples line up in all kinds of different positions across the defensive front line. At least that's what the former North Carolina Tar Heel said Friday, according to the New York Daily News.

"They'll use me all across the board from what I know," Coples said. "They did it today, so I don't think they're going to change it. I'm comfortable with both (my left or right hand on the ground). (When) you judge it, it's probably a tenth faster on the left side than right side."

Head coach Rex Ryan has said Coples will play several roles on defense since the team selected the 6-foot-6 defensive end in the first round of this year's NFL Draft (No. 16 overall).

"Could we stand him up at a rush position? Yes, we can" Ryan said Friday after the team completed its first day of rookie minicamp, adding that Coples had about six sacks during practice.

"He has the God-given ability to be great," Ryan said.

Coples indicated he's eager to learn from the coach.

"I'm excited about him coaching me and helping me become great," Coples said.
