Nets rookie MarShon Brooks has broken little toe

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - New Jersey Nets rookie guard MarShon Brooks has a broken little toe on his right foot and will miss Tuesday's game against the Indiana Pacers.

Nets coach Avery Johnson disclosed the injury on Monday and said that Brooks would be seen by doctors later Monday night.

It is not immediately known how long Brooks will be sidelined . He scored six points in Sunday night's 94-73 loss to the Toronto Raptors, but Johnson was not sure when he was hurt.

The toe was swollen when Brooks reported to work on Monday.

Brooks is the Nets' second leading scorer, averaging 14.8 points in 17 games, including nine starts. He has missed the previous three games with a sore Achilles' tendon.

Guard DeShawn Stevenson also will miss the Pacers' game with a swollen knee.
