Moribund Rams offense comes out firing with Goff

Wild times in New Orleans.

The Los Angeles Rams, the NFL's most earthbound offense this season, came out flying against the Saints on Sunday.

For evidence of the Rams' fast start, consider the following things that happened on their first possession:

» A Jared Goff pass to Todd Gurley that went for 31 yards.

» A Goff pass to Kenny Britt that went for 17 yards.

» A Goff pass to Tavon Austin that went for a 24-yard touchdown. Whoa.

I am currently efforting with the Elias Sports Bureau to find out if this is Austin's first catch not made within three yards of the line of scrimmage. Meanwhile, the Rams have scored 10, 10, 9 and 10 points in their past four games. They could shatter that glass ceiling at the Superdome. Stay tuned.
