'Mom's Playbook' debuts on NFL Media with youth safety discussion

By Bill Bradley, contributing editor

NFL Network debuted a new segment on "NFL Total Access" on Wednesday night called "MomsPlaybook."

The segment, which will be shown in future episodes of "Total Access," featured NFL Network host Melissa Stark talking about football issues with moms connected to football.

During Wednesday's segment, Stark talked to Heads Up Football Advisory Committee member Christine Golic, neurophyschologist Elizabeth Pieroth and Bianca Wilfork of the Vince Wilfork Foundation. All three moms have children who have played football while Wilfork is married to New England Patriots lineman Vince Wilfork and Golic is married to former NFL lineman Mike Golic.

The group discussed the subject of tackle football vs. flag football for young children, role models under the microscope because of negative publicity and what football brings to their kids' lives.
