Michael Crabtree misses 49ers practice with hurt ankle

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree did not take part in Saturday's practice after apparently tweaking his right ankle on Friday, according to CSNBayArea.com.

The newspaper said the injury was not considered serious. Team spokesman Bob Lange confirmed that Crabtree "is working through something."

Crabtree still is waiting for a breakout season going into his fourth year in the NFL. He did have a career-high 874 yards in 2011.

Rookie receiver A.J. Jenkins made three catches in Crabtree's absence.
