Matt Spaeth signs two-year contract with Pittsburgh Steelers

Tight end Matt Spaeth is returning to the Steel City.

Spaeth signed a two-year contract with Pittsburgh, the team announced Monday. The Steelers drafted Spaeth in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft out of the University of Minnesota. He played his first four seasons for the Steelers before spending the last two years with the Chicago Bears.

Spaeth has 49 career receptions for 353 yards and eight touchdowns and has started six playoff games.
