Magnets in helmets? Idea attracts interest from science community

Smithsonian.com reported on the recent study that helmet magnets could reduce impacts that cause concussions in football helmets.

Science Mag first reported on the research, providing more detail on Colello's studies.

Science News talked to Judy Cameron, a neuroscientist at the University of Pittsburgh who said the idea hasn't been tested yet but plans are in the works.

KJZZ-FM in Phoenix looked at the impact in its research market.

What's next for the study? Colello told Science News field testing is already in the planning stages.
