Lions' Johnson among players held out of Wednesday's practice

The Lions breathed a collective sigh of relief after Matthew Stafford made it through the team's opener unscathed, but his top target, Calvin Johnson, missed Wednesday's practice with an apparent shoulder injury.

The Detroit Free Press reported that safety Louis Delmas (hip pointer) and defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch (neck) also missed the workout. Defensive tackle Nick Fairley and offensive lineman Jason Fox remain out with foot injuries.

Johnson hauled in six Stafford passes for 88 yards and a pair of scores in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but twice he crashed down hard on his shoulder.
