Lions continue to be active in free agency, sign CB Wade

ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- The Detroit Lions have signed free-agent cornerback Jonathan Wade to a one-year contract.

Financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed Wednesday.

The St. Louis Rams selected Wade in the third round of the 2007 draft, and he had 67 tackles and two interceptions in 47 games, including six starts.

Within the past week, the Lions have signed two veteran free agents, defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch and wide receiver Nate Burleson. The team also has acquired defensive Corey Williams and cornerback Chris Houston in trades with the Cleveland Browns and Atlanta Falcons, respectively.
