Free agent Colt McCoy is expected to sign elsewhere, per Rapoport, despite starting four games last season after Griffin and Cousins were each yanked by coach Jay Gruden.
Although Gruden surprisingly anointed Griffin the starter last month, he also made it clear that RGIII will have to show improvement to keep the job.
It's noteworthy that the Redskins coaches are still high on Cousins' prospects, as the 2012 fourth-round pick was banished to the margins of the roster after tossing eight interceptions in a four-game span early last season.
