Joe Flacco returns to practice, listed as questionable

Joe Flacco is one step closer to playing this Sunday.

The Ravens quarterback returned to practice on Friday after sitting out sessions all week and was listed as questionable on the team's injury report. Flacco has been dealing with a right shoulder injury he sustained in Sunday's loss to the Giants.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh told reporters it was "encouraging" to see Flacco at practice, but wouldn't speculate if the quarterback would be a game-time decision for Sunday.

Flacco's presence at Friday's practice reinforces his claim earlier in the week that the shoulder ailment was "nothing to worry about".

With the Jets on Baltimore's docket this week, Flacco would rue missing the opportunity to slice and dice a New York secondary prone to the deep ball. Minor shoulder soreness shouldn't hold the Ravens quarterback out of this one.

Other Ravens veterans are not so lucky. Wide receiver Steve Smith (ankle), linebacker Terrell Suggs (bicep) and guard Marshal Yanda (shoulder) are all listed as doubtful to play Sunday.
