Jets cut wideout Quinton Patton from injured reserve

The short-lived Quinton Patton era in Florham Park is officially over.

The Jets released the wideout from injured reserve with an injury settlement Thursday, per the league transaction wire.

Patton signed with the Jets on March 23 after spending his first four seasons in San Francisco. Gang Green placed him on IR with an undisclosed injury on Monday.

The 6-foot target racked up career-highs in receptions and receiving yards with the 49ers in 2016. The 49ers put him on IR with a foot injury at the end of last season.
