Jason Peters, Chris Baker fined for Week 3 fight

The Week 3 fight that broke out between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins has resulted in two fines.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Friday that Eagles left tackle Jason Peters was fined $10,000 for striking a player in the head post-play and Redskins defensive tackle Chris Baker was fined $8,268 for the ensuing facemask grab.

The brawl erupted during the fourth quarter of the Eagles' 37-34 win over the Redskins, following an apparent interception by Washington. During the interception return (which was later overturned because the ball hit the ground), Baker hit Nick Foles leaving the quarterback crumpled on the ground. Foles appeared to be hurt and the Eagles rushed to his defense, as Peters went after Baker.

Foles didn't miss a snap after the lengthy delay.

Baker was not fined for the semi-blindside block on the quarterback.

Both Peters and Baker were ejected from the contest.

Here's some other notable fines from Week 3's action:

  1. San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Anquan Boldin was fined $8,268 for headbutting Tony Jefferson.
  1. Two Buffalo Bills players have been fined. Mike Williams was docked $11,025 for wearing red socks in Week 3. Brandon Spikes was also fined $8,268 for his unnecessary roughness penalty against the San Diego Chargers. This is the second fine for both players this season.
