JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars continued to revamp their battered offensive line Wednesday, signing free agent Todd Wade and placing Maurice Williams on injured reserve.

Wade started 10 games for Washington last season, working at guard and tackle, but sprained his ankle this preseason and was released in final roster cuts. The nine-year veteran has started 96 games, playing in Miami (2000-03), Houston (04-05) and Washington (06-07).
Coach Jack Del Rio said Wade was still dealing with the injury and might not be ready to play for at least another week.
Williams, the team's starting right guard and a backup tackle, ruptured his right biceps Sunday at Tennessee. The Jaguars also lost starting left guard Vince Manuwai (knee) for the season in the opener.
Making matters worse, they already were without starting center Brad Meester (biceps) and backup tackle Richard Collier, who was shot last week. Meester is expected to miss at least the first four games.
In an effort to fill the voids, Jacksonville signed guard Milford Brown and tackle Chad Slaughter on Tuesday, and added tackle Charles Spencer last week. The moves give the Jags four new linemen who weren't around for training camp and the preseason.
