Spurred on by pending free agency, another player is sticking with his current team.
Much maligned by local fans after being the No. 10 overall pick in 2010 out of Cal, Alualu has begun to develop the past two seasons under Gus Bradley.
A rotational player last season, Alualu, 27, played 471 snaps behind Red Bryant at left defensive end, earning two sacks and 30 tackles.
We expect the Jags to add playmaking pass rushers in free agency and the draft, but inking Alualu ensures the team retains depth along the line and keeps an improving player.
