Injury roundup: Jimmy Graham active for Saints

Jimmy Graham is a go.

The New Orleans Saints announced that their Pro Bowl tight end is active for Sunday's meeting with the Buffalo Bills after testing his injured foot during pregame warmups.

Graham is dealing with significant pain after suffering a partially torn plantar fascia against the New England Patriots in Week 6, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported on NFL Network's "NFL GameDay Morning" on Sunday.

Graham rested his foot through the bye week but still needed to sit out Wednesday and Thursday before returning to practice Friday. It's anyone's guess how much he'll play against Buffalo.

Here's the rest of Sunday's big injury news:

  1. Kansas City Chiefs receiver Dwayne Bowe has been activated for Sunday's game with the Cleveland Browns. Bowe suffered a midweek groin injury but practiced Thursday before sitting out Friday.
  1. New England Patriots receiver Danny Amendola will play Sunday after passing concussion protocols, per Rapoport. Not the case with cornerback Aqib Talib, who will sit out against the Miami Dolphins because of a hip injury, NFL Media's Albert Breer reported Saturday.
  1. One more nugget out of New England: Tom Brady popped up on the injury report with a tweaked right arm before a photograph from a charity event showed the quarterback with two fingers taped on his throwing hand. A source close to the situation told Rapoport: "Don't worry, he's fine."
  1. NFL Media's Stacey Dales said on "NFL GameDay First" that she doesn't "sense a great deal of concern" from the Lions organization about the status of Detroit's Reggie Bush. The dynamic running back had his right knee wrapped during Friday's practice, but Bush said he'll be ready to go Sunday against Dallas.
  1. For the Cowboys, running back DeMarco Murray has been ruled out for Sunday's game, Dales reported.
  1. Cardinals running back Rashard Mendenhall will not play in Arizona's game against the Atlanta Falcons because of a toe injury, ESPN's Adam Schefter tweeted. That translates to a bigger role for rookie Andre Ellington.
  1. As expected, Bills running back C.J. Spiller is inactive against the Saints, although he's not happy about it, per Rapoport. Spiller wants to be out there, but we're in for a heavy dose of Fred Jackson.
