Injury roundup: Doug Martin starts for Buccaneers

Buccaneers running back Doug Martin is playing against the Panthers, according to Rapoport. Martin had been listed on the injury report as questionable with a knee/quad injury. In three games this season, Martin has rushed for 176 yards with a 3.8 yards/carry average.

Here are some other injuries we were tracking before Sunday's afternoon games:

  1. Houston Texans running back Arian Foster made his season debut Sunday vs. the Falcons, a source informed of the situation told NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport. It's believed Foster will take limited snaps as he continues to recover from a groin injury.
  1. Bears quarterback Jay Cutler (hamstring) is playing Sunday against the Raiders, according to Rapoport. Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, however, is out. The Bears are still searching for their first win after getting shut out by the Seahawks last weekend.
  1. Jets receiver Eric Decker was active for Sunday's game against the Dolphins in London.
  1. Colts quarterback Andrew Luck is inactive against the Jaguars, according to NFL Media's Stacey Dales. He had a secret and private throwing session with only coaches present Saturday, sources informed of the situation told Rapoport. He was able to throw. The Colts performed tests on Andrew Luck's throwing shoulder and found no structural damage.
  1. Bengals cornerback Adam Jones (elbow), Browns safety Tashaun Gipson (groin) and Chargers OL D.J. Fluker (ankle) are in, according to Rapoport.
  1. NFL Media's Albert Breer reported Eagles running back DeMarco Murray and offensive tackle Jason Peters are active.
  1. As expected, Bills running back LeSean McCoy and wideout Sammy Watkins are inactive.
  1. The Cardinals may hold out Andre Ellington from Sunday's game against the Rams, Rapoport reported, per two sources informed of his prognosis. They want him to be 100 percent before he returns. The bulk of the carries will likely fall to Chris Johnson, who is coming off his best game in two seasons.
