"The good news is that it's quick healing ... The tough news is that he is going to be out probably the rest of preseason," Jaguars coach Gus Bradley said. "But hopefully, if everything works alright, he'll be back ready for the first game."
Thomas left the field in the first quarter and did not return. The team confirmed Saturday that the tight end will miss the rest of the preseason.
Here are other injuries we've been monitoring during Friday's six preseason games.
- Giants safety Landon Collins was taken to the locker room in the first half for X-rays on his left knee, which were negative. He did not return, and after the game he told Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record that the injury is "not bad at all," though he plans to have an MRI tomorrow to get a better look at any damage.
- It was a cringe-worthy night for the Big Blue secondary: CB Tremaine McBride did not return after suffering a hamstring injury, the team said.
