Injuries: Adrian Clayborn to miss rest of playoffs

The Falcons may have won the war against the Seahawks this weekend, but they lost a valuable soldier along the way for the remainder of the postseason.

Atlanta defensive end Adrian Clayborn tore his bicep in Saturday's 36-20 win and will be out for the remainder of the playoffs. He suffered the injury in the first half of the contest, and did not return after halftime. Clayborn was officially placed on injured reserve Tuesday.

In his second season with the Falcons, Clayborn finished second on the team with 4.5 sacks in 13 games. The pass rusher spent his first four seasons in Tampa Bay, racking up 13 quarterback takedowns over that span.

With Clayborn out, Atlanta will need someone else to step up and generate pressure alongside Vic Beasley next Sunday. Beasley accumulated 15.5 sacks in a breakout second season. Beasley and Clayborn, however, were the only Falcons with more than three sacks on the season.

Other injuries we've been tracking so far Sunday:

  1. Packers safety Morgan Burnett suffered a quad injury in the first half against the Cowboys and did not return. Wide receiver Davante Adams suffered an ankle injury, but managed to return to the game. However, Rapoport reported Monday on Good Morning Football that Adams' injury will be one to watch as the Packers prepare for Sunday's tilt against the Falcons.
  1. Cowboys linebacker Damien Wilson (ankle) and cornerback Morris Claiborne did not return.
  1. Steelers tight end Ladarius Green (concussion) was inactive on Sunday night against the Chiefs.
