Houshmandzadeh misses Seahawks' practice, but Branch returns

RENTON, Wash. -- T.J. Houshmandzadeh missed his second consecutive practice Thursday because of back spasms, but fellow Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Deion Branch practiced, albeit in a limited fashion, for the first time since he injured his hamstring 10 days ago.

Nine-time Pro Bowl left tackle Walter Jones also practiced some, but center Chris Spencer again sat out with a quadriceps injury. Coach Jim Mora isn't sure if Jones or Spencer will make their season debuts Sunday at San Francisco.

Lofa Tatupu again was out with a hamstring injury, though Mora expects the three-time Pro Bowl linebacker to start against the 49ers.

Defensive tackle Brandon Mebane rested a left calf injury that he sustained in Wednesday's practice.
