Haynesworth misses second consecutive day of practice

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth missed a second consecutive day of practice Thursday as he rested his sore right hamstring.

Haynesworth did not practice all last week, but played in last Sunday's 23-17 overtime loss to the San Diego Chargers. There's a possibility he could follow the same scenario this week.

"He did not practice today, but I think he's getting better," coach Jeff Fisher said. "We have not ruled him out for the game. I think he's better at this time this week than he was last week."

Running back LenDale White, who had the stitches from his right middle finger removed on Wednesday, was rested with a knee problem.

Also, starting linebacker David Thornton was out for a second day in a row with a sore knee.

"He's responding well," Fisher said. "I think he's got a chance to do some things tomorrow."
