You have to wonder if at some point all of the travel -- San Francisco's fifth game in the Eastern time zone -- will catch up with the 49ers, especially on a short week. Maybe the late start helps their biological clocks, but this schedule is awful tough on them. Alex Smith hasn't had to open it up and throw from behind much, but the Ravens have a way of taking away the run game. Haloti Ngata has seemed nicked up the last few weeks, and one has to wonder how he is feeling on a short week.
