Haley close to rejoining Cardinals after being fired by Chiefs

Todd Haley is nearing a deal to return to the Arizona Cardinals, a league source said Saturday.

A contract could be completed in the coming week for Haley, who was the Cardinals' offensive coordinator for two seasons (2007-08) before he became the Kansas City Chiefs' coach.

Haley was fired by the Chiefs with a 5-8 record this season following a promising 2010 campaign in which he led the team to a 10-6 mark and an AFC West title.

Mike Miller, who just completed his fifth season in Arizona, currently is the team's offensive coordinator.
