Giants waive Koets after offensive lineman struggled with injury

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New York Giants have waived veteran offensive lineman Adam Koets from the reserve-physically-unable-to-perform list.

Koets played in eight games -- including four starts -- in 2010 before tearing a knee ligament in November. He underwent surgery and was placed on injured reserve.

He was placed on the reserve/PUP list when training camp opened in July, and then injured his back during rehabilitation.

Koets had spent four seasons with the Giants, who chose him in the sixth round of the 2007 draft.

The Giants also made a change on their practice squad, signing defensive end Craig Marshall and terminating the contract of fullback Alex Daniels.
