Giants' Jacobs, Hixon miss second day of practice

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Halfback Brandon Jacobs and receiver Domenik Hixon missed New York Giants practice for the second straight day on Thursday.

Jacobs aggravated his left knee and Hixon sprained an ankle and foot in the Giants loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

Coach Tom Coughlin said that Jacobs is feeling better but was uncertain whether the running back would practice on Friday. The coach said Hixon, who has taken over for the suspended Plaxico Burress, thought he could practice on Thursday but doctors told him to rest another day.

Defensive end Justin Tuck, who missed practice on Wednesday with a lower leg injury, returned on Thursday on a limited basis.

Cornerback Aaron Ross (ankle), offensive tackle Kareem McKenzie (back) and halfback Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) returned to practice after missing Wednesday's workout.
