Gase: Arian Foster expected to make 'Fins debut Friday

Dolphins fans are just days away from getting their first look at Arian Foster.

Coach Adam Gase told reporters on Tuesday that the former Texans star is expected to make his preseason debut on Friday against the Dallas Cowboys.

Foster sat out Miami's game against the Giants last week in what amounted to extra rest for the 29-year-old runner who spent the offseason rehabbing from last October's Achilles' tear.

Foster generated plenty of buzz after signing with the 'Fins, with Gase saying the veteran would be "rolling with the ones" during camp. Miami also would love to see second-year back Jay Ajayi emerge, but Gase has shown overt trust in Foster, who looked sensational in 2014, but faces a stiff test bouncing back from the injury.

Ajayi, meanwhile, ran for just six yards off two carries against New York as Isaiah Pead and Daniel Thomas led the way with a combined 90 yards at 4.5 yards per tote.

We don't expect Foster to see major snaps against the 'Boys, but even a small sample would provide initial clues about his post-rehab quickness and cutting ability.
