Free-agent WR Holmes says he plans to return to Jets

Count Santonio Holmes in, too.

The free-agent wide receiver said he expects to return to the Jets in a video posted to Facebook on Sunday, via *The New York Post*.

Holmes, who was acquired from Pittsburgh before the 2010 NFL Draft, stood in a room full of Steelers memorabilia at his mother's house in the video.

"Sorry Jets fans that not enough Jets stuff is here, but trust me, as soon as I sign back with the Jets, everything will be taken care of," said Holmes, who had 52 catches for 746 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games last season.

Holmes was the second Jets starting receiver in two days to state his case to return to New York. Fellow free-agent wideout Braylon Edwards said Monday after a court appearance in New York that he also wants to remain with the Jets.

"If they give me the opportunity, I definitely want to come back," Edwards said as he left a Manhattan courthouse after a brief appearance in a drunken-driving case in which he denies the charges. "And, one more time, I love being a Jet."
