Former WR Hilliard joins Dolphins as coaching assistant

DAVIE, Fla. -- The Miami Dolphins have completed a shake-up of their offensive coaching staff with several moves, including the hiring of former NFL player Ike Hilliard as assistant wide receivers coach.

Karl Dorrell is moving from receivers coach to quarterbacks coach, and former offensive quality control coach Steve Bush is now the receivers coach. Coach Tony Sparano also hired his son, Tony Jr., as offensive quality control coach, the team announced Wednesday.

Former assistant special teams coach Darren Rizzi was promoted to special teams coordinator, and former San Francisco 49ers assistant Dave Fipp was hired as assistant special teams coach.

Hilliard joins Miami after two seasons with the Florida Tuskers of the United Football League.
