Former Lions RB Mel Farr dies at age 70

Former Lions running back Mel Farr passed away at the age of 70 on Monday, the team confirmed.

Farr played seven seasons in Detroit from 1967 to 1973. He was named to the Pro Bowl twice and was named AP Offensive Rookie of the Year in 1967. 

Farr led the Lions in rushing in three seasons and amassed 4,446 total yards throughout his career.
