Former Dolphins QB White attempting football comeback

Pat White isn't ready to give up on his NFL dream just yet.

The former Miami Dolphin is expected to sign with the Virginia Destroyers of the United Football League, according to the team's official Twitter account.

White was Miami's second-round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. The quarterback was believed to be a good fit for the team's then flourishing "wildcat" formation, but he struggled to find playing time in Tony Sparano's system and was cut just prior to the 2010 season.

After his release, White flirted briefly with a baseball career, signing a minor league deal with the Kansas City Royals before retiring shortly thereafter.

White starred collegiately at West Virginia and was named the 2009 Senior Bowl MVP.
